RTD wiring and insertion geometry
Pt 100 Sensor: Match the named platinum resistance sensor to the controller’s configured input. Confirm the resistance designation, accuracy class and 2-, 3- or 4-wire arrangement before connecting the probe.
Insertion depth, probe diameter and mounting contact affect response and measurement error. Route the signal cable away from heater power wiring and review cable resistance for the selected connection scheme.
For Pt 100 Sensor, send the controller input, required measurement range, accuracy, probe drawing and cable or connector details. Ask for the agreed sensor designation and inspection requirements on the quotation.
